Abbeyfield House in Alfriston is a two-story building, purpose built as a traditional Abbeyfield House in 1985. The house accommodates nine people in single studio accommodation, all with en-suite facilities and easy access gardens surround the property. The house has a large, open plan dining room and conservatory/lounge area, that is full of light with a lovely homely feel and ample parking for visitors. The house is situated next to the local primary school and just a five-minute easy walk to the village shops.
Alfriston is a picturesque village at the foot of the South Downs national park. Alfriston offers close community life with many groups and organisations based in the village. The village’s picture postcard views are a tourist attraction during the summer months with its traditional pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. The nearest town is Seaford, which is a coastal town less than five miles away. Local bus services run daily to Seaford & Eastbourne.
This is a quiet location with a strong house community. Tenants meet daily for morning coffee and meals. Lunch and light supper are provided by our house staff daily. Breakfast is self-catered withprovisions of your choice supplied by us as part of your tenancy. Tenants are supported by the house volunteer visiting team that offer companionship and arrange special events and trips. There is a regular exercise group that is also open to people in the surrounding area.
Visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and optician services are available at the house.
Abbeyfield House staff are available daily. Our house staff are there to provide your catering service and be a source of support, to aid your independence. We are not able to provide personal care or assistance with medication but we can help you to arrange the support you need in these areas.
