House description

Beamsley House is a large Victorian style semi-detached building over three storys, accommodating eight people. There is a large split-level garden to the rear, with a level-access patio area and an established front garden for tenants to enjoy. The lounge/dining room has a large window looking out on to the patio area. The house offers a variety of single studio accommodation all with en-suite facilities and a door entry system.


Beamsley House is located in the Meads area of Eastbourne, within walking distance of the theatres and seafront. The famous ‘carpet gardens’ are the centrepiece of Eastbourne’s Promenade, consisting largely of Victorian hotels, plus a pier and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum. Eastbourne is immediately to the east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain. A regular bus service runs to the town centre, with plenty of high street names, the newly extended ‘Beacon’ shopping centre and a variety of restaurants.


House Life

Beamsley House is a traditional Abbeyfield House with lunch and supper provided by our own staff daily in the communal dining room. Breakfast is self-catered with provisions of your choice supplied by us as part of your tenancy. There are regular themed lunches for special occasions and house events are held several times a year. Tenants are encouraged to take part in daily life at the house and are regularly involved in the garden.

    Abbeyfield House staff are available daily. Our house staff are there to provide your catering service and be a source of support, to aid your independence. We are not able to provide personal care or assistance with medication but we can help you to arrange the support you need in these areas.
